Giles really is getting healthy and I’m so excited to share Stephanie’s success story with you today. I love how Stephanie’s initial goal was simply to improve her and her family’s health. You don’t have to have a diagnosis or specific weight loss goal to see me. You just need a desire to create a healthier life for you and your family. Here’s Stephanie’s story in her words:
“When I scheduled my first appointment with Emily, I didn’t have a health issue I was trying to improve or a magical goal weight I wanted to be. I just wanted to be an overall healthier me. An appointment with Emily is like gabbing with a long time friend. Emily relates to the life of a full-time working mom that is trying to keep all the balls in the air. She didn’t have unrealistic expectations or push me to meet any quick targets. We talk about balance and consistency. What foods did I like, what modifications could I make, and how to incorporate these choices with the family. She took a ‘big picture’ approach and that was very helpful. Counting every calorie wouldn’t work for me, but being educated enough to be mindful and thoughtful with my choices and understanding how the pieces fit together would. Emily doesn’t just provide guidance in our scheduled appointments, she’s always a phone call or text away when I have a random question that I’d like her opinion on. While I’ve had the success of losing weight, it’s my overall sense of feeling ‘better’ that I’m most excited about. Our whole family has benefited from what I have learned from Emily. I appreciate all of the guidance Emily has given me and the support to keep moving forward in the right direction.”
