Dinner under $10?! What?! Yes! I am here to tell you that YOU can make a nutritious meal for you and your family with simple ingredients and hit the food budget.
Chicken fajitas with peppers and homemade seasoning! I chose to use wraps, but you could easily cut the amount of carbs by shredding chicken and peppers over romaine lettuce leaves or add more carbs by adding brown rice in or out of the wrap.
Homemade fajita seasoning: (1/4-1/2 teaspoon of each)
Place boneless chicken thighs, peppers, a little water into your crockpot and cover with fajita seasoning and set crockpot to low. Cook for 6-8 hours. Shred and place on wraps or a bed of lettuce.
Top with your favorite toppings- fresh cilantro, lime, avocados, black bean, tomatoes, corn, etc!
Enjoy! Eat to nourish!
